A new client tasked TPSquared to produce a branded event packs for a major event.
The Department of Culture, Media and Sport fund the West Midlands Creative Scale Up Programme. This programme aims to help Creative Businesses in the West Midlands. It achieves this by delivering a series of workshops, seminars and peer to peer mentoring sessions.
The client asked if we would like to get involved to produce event packs for the third virtual showcase within the programme. As a result, the answer was a big square-shaped yes! At this stage of the programme, they wanted to showcase the successes of cohort 3 and cohort 4. On top of this, they also wanted to celebrate the success of the whole programme, to include cohort 1 and cohort 2.
We particularly liked the term ‘alumni’. So, we used this to create concepts for digital, branded programme badges and banners. As a result, the client could use these as a ‘badge of honour’ across their social media channels, email footers and displays on company websites. They gave these badges to all businesses which successfully completed the programme, in the same way as an accreditation.
We also produced a number of print and branded items. Picking up on the ‘badge of honour’ idea using the digital alumni badge design, we produced bespoke enamel pin badges and certificates.
We even packaged up all of the print and digital items for the event packs for the client. Subsequently, we then shipped the packs, with branded stickers and compliments slips, to over 100 addresses across the West Midlands prior to the event.
But that’s not all! To celebrate the success of the programme, a virtual awards presentation was part of the showcase. We produced a design for a laser engraving to be used on the glass awards. These were kept under wraps, separate from the event packs, until the showcase night, where the client announced the winners live during the event.wmca.org.uk
