The University of Wolverhampton needed a book design for their latest grand project. So, they commissioned TPSquared to design and produce a coffee table book. The book showcases the heritage of the Grade II listed, former brewery site, through to the completion of the new Springfield super campus.
TPSquared’s ambition is to support local businesses and community projects, wherever possible. Consequently, our involvement in recording the story of the transformation of the former brewery site was a really exciting project for the whole team.
We engaged with a local writer to research and piece together the copy. Additionally, our in-house studio created all of the design elements. We also worked closely with the University, the architects and our local printers. All these elements contributed to produce this stunning book.
Our designers used the pattern work taken from the original brewery wrought iron gates as inspiration. As a result, our studio featured this design on the front cover and the inside pages of the book. Also, the pattern inspired the contemporary panels on the exterior of the campus building.
The University and us are both thrilled with the book. It captures the historical, cultural and future relevance of the University of Wolverhampton Springfield project.
To work on this project was a privilege from the start. Similarly, the attention to detail and the quality of the building work was a huge inspiration for the design of the book.
“It was a joy to work with the people at TPSquared. We couldn’t imagine that the project could have been in safer hands As a result, we can’t wait to work with them again on future projects.”
