The West Midlands Creative Scale Up Programme is funded by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport. It aims to help Creative Businesses in the West Midlands, delivered through a series of workshops, seminars and peer to peer mentoring sessions.

When asked if we would like to get involved to produce event packs for the programmes third virtual showcase, the answer was a big square shaped yes!

This time round, not only did they want to showcase cohort 3 and cohort 4 successes they wanted to celebrate the whole programme and include cohort 1 and cohort 2.

The terms programme ‘alumni’ stuck, using this we provided concepts for digital branded programme badges and banners to be used as a ‘badge of honour’ across social media channels, email footers and displayed on company websites. These were given to all businesses who successfully completed the programme almost like an accreditation.

We also produced a number of print and branded items. Picking up on the ‘badge of honour’ idea using the digital alumni badge design we produced bespoke enamel pin badges and certificates.

All of the print and digital items for the event packs were packaged up, with branded stickers and compliments slips and sent to almost 100 addresses across the West Midlands prior to the event.

But that’s not all! To celebrate the success of the programme a virtual awards presentation was part of the showcase. We produced a design that worked well laser engraved on the glass awards. These were kept a separate from the event packs under wraps until the showcase night where winners were announced live during the event.
